Questions, answered.
Is my financial data private?
Yes. Every account's data is fully isolated. You only ever see your own budgets, accounts and imports, and one user cannot access another user's data. AI analysis runs on your own Anthropic API key, so your finances never pass through our AI accounts.
What does the AI cost me?
AI features run on your own Anthropic API key, so you pay your provider directly for the tokens used. In normal use that is a few cents per month. You can set a monthly cost cap and a rate limit so usage stays predictable.
Why bring your own API key instead of a bundled AI?
It is a deliberate privacy choice. Because the key is yours, your financial data is sent to Anthropic under your account, not ours. We physically cannot read it there or sell it. Your key is encrypted at rest and only ever used on the server.
Which statement formats can I import?
CSV, XML, XLSX and PDF. The first three are read by Zenith itself. A PDF is read with Claude using your own Anthropic API key, since bank PDFs have no fixed layout, and it needs selectable text rather than being a scan. Uploaded files are deleted once you save the import.
Does it handle different currencies?
Yes. Transactions in other currencies are converted to your default currency during import, using a daily rate. You set your default currency in settings.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Zenith is a progressive web app, so you can install it to your home screen and run it full screen on iOS and Android, with no app store.
How does pricing work during early access?
You can create an account and start using Zenith right away, no card required. While we are in early access every account has full access. When paid plans go live you will be able to stay on a Free tier or upgrade to Pro for $10 a month; nothing is ever charged automatically.
Is my data locked in?
No. Your figures are yours. The product is built around one connected picture of your money, not around trapping your data.
